When people make the comment that it is hard to be honest in this day and time when everyone else is cheating is hard for me to comprehend! To me it is telling me something about your character. Why is honesty such a hard thing to swallow? I can never understand how people who are dishonest can look themselves in the mirror and be proud of themselves. Doesn’t dishonesty follow you? Just because someone else is being dishonest in your workplace does that mean you cannot set an example for honesty? Would you jump off a cliff if your fellow worker did to improve his career? It is a no-brainer! Young people seem to have a hard time dealing with this at work. It might work once for a person to cheat; but, sooner or later it will catch up with that person; and, once that person is found out and management recognize him for what he is – it will follow him the rest of his life – believe me – it does happen. Scuttle-butt at the office doesn’t stay frozen. Once you are branded as a gossip or a cheat – you might as well move on because you are labeled for life. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but, not all of the people all of the time.
You might have gained the whole world but lost your soul on the way out!

So true! Moral decay is evident everywhere, even in our Justice System. When insurance lawyers can lie and pay immoral doctors to lie on their behalf to keep from paying people who have been injured, and the jurors ignore the lies, honesty is no longer a moral standard in our society.
